In the app
The quickest way. It takes a few seconds:
- Open Purple Lap and go to Settings.
- Under Online, tap Delete online account.
- Tap Delete online account again to confirm.
Deletion starts straight away and usually finishes within minutes. Your phone also forgets the account and your friends’ circuits.
If you can’t use the app
If you’ve lost your phone, reset it or uninstalled Purple Lap, we can delete your account for you:
- Email hello@theivies.in with the subject Delete my Purple Lap account.
- Tell us your display name, race number and colour, and roughly when you last used the app. A friend’s name or a circuit you shared helps too.
- We’ll find your account, may ask a question to check it’s yours, delete it within 30 days and email you when it’s done.
Purple Lap accounts have no email address or password, so these details are how we find yours.
What’s deleted
- Your online profile: display name, race number and colour.
- Your friends list and invite code. You disappear from your friends’ grids.
- Circuits you shared. They’re removed from our servers, and from your friends’ phones the next time their app syncs.
- Your lap times and best laps on shared circuits.
- Your Grand Prix results, season points and Champion titles.
- Your Premium status record.
- The account itself.
What’s kept, and for how long
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Server error logs, which may include your account ID | Up to 7 days |
| A note that the account was deleted: its random ID and the date | Kept, so purchase updates Google Play sends later aren’t attached to it again |
| Anything a failed deletion step missed | Until we finish the deletion, within 14 days |
| Purchase records held by Google Play and RevenueCat | As they require for subscriptions and accounting. Email us to have your RevenueCat records deleted too. |
| Sessions, circuits and laps on your own phone | Until you delete them or uninstall the app |
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a Premium subscription. Cancel it in the Google Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Deleting what’s on your phone
Your sessions, circuits, laps and privacy zones live on your phone, not on our servers. To remove them:
- Go to Settings → Privacy & data → Delete all my data, or
- uninstall Purple Lap, which removes everything it stored on your phone.
Delete all my data also takes any circuits you shared off your friends’ phones. It doesn’t delete your online account: if you have one, delete it too, in the app or by email.
